European Parliament/Council agreement on the creation of benchmarks aligned with the Paris Agreement

On Monday evening, 25 February, representatives of the European Parliament and the Romanian Presidency of the Council of the EU reached a political agreement in principle on the proposal for a regulation creating a new category of benchmarks to help investors compare the carbon footprint of investments (see EUROPE 11977).
