04/02/2019 (Agence Europe) – The European Federation of National Organisations Working with the Homeless (FEANTSA) and the Greek Network for the Right to Shelter and Housing issued a joint statement on Friday 1 February in which they urged the European Commission to ensure the continuity of housing for asylum seekers. For both signatories, everyone arriving in the EU must have the right to housing, both during the entire asylum procedure and once the asylum application has been accepted, in particular under Directive 2013/33/EU laying down standards for the reception of applicants for international protection.
