21/01/2019 (Agence Europe) – In response to the latest terrorist attack on a MINUSMA camp in northern Mali on Sunday 20 January, which killed several Chadian soldiers and wounded dozens, the European Union expressed its condolences to the families of the victims, in Chad, Mali and the United Nations, as well as a speedy recovery to the injured on the same day. "We reiterate our strong support for those working to restore peace in Mali, such as MINUSMA and Operation Barkhane. The European Union will continue to work alongside Mali in this direction as well as with the other G5 Sahel countries - some of which have recently been attacked - to reduce terrorism and enable people to live in security", said the European External Action Service spokesperson in a statement.
