15/01/2019 (Agence Europe) – Several civil society organisations active in maritime transport, including the European Association for Forwarding, Transport, Logistics and Customs Services (CLECAT) and the European Sea Ports Organisation (ESPO), welcomed in a joint statement on 11 January the vote of the MEPs of the European Parliament's Transport Committee of 10 January on the establishment of a European maritime single window environment (see EUROPE 12170). While they welcome several points made by MEPs, they are more sceptical about the recommendation to set up a common interface for the EU access point to transfer data from system-to-system to national single windows.
