Protection from carcinogens and mutagens, European Parliament approves Interinstitutional Agreement

11/12/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 11 December, the European Parliament adopted by a very large majority (585 votes in favour, 46 against, 35 abstentions) the Interinstitutional Agreement on the 2nd revision of the Directive on the protection of workers from carcinogens and mutagens. “This agreement is remarkable, as we have succeeded in including diesel fumes, as well as an occupational exposure limit”, welcomed the rapporteur, Claude Rolin (EPP, Belgian).
