Commission approves TenneT’s commitments to increase electricity trading capacity between Germany and Denmark

07/12/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 7 December, the European Commission approved the commitments submitted by TenneT, a German grid operator, to increase the capacity of electricity trading between Denmark and Germany. This decision echoes the opening of a formal investigation last 19 March, when the Commission expressed concern that the company may have infringed EU competition law by limiting electricity capacity from the western part of Denmark to Germany (see EUROPE 11984).
