Council adopts recommendations to increase vaccination rate in Europe

European Health Ministers adopted a non-binding recommendation on Friday 7 December in which they undertook to support vaccination in conjunction with the European Commission and relevant stakeholders. 

This recommendation follows a proposal presented by the European Commission in April 2018 to address the low vaccination rate in Europe and the reluctance to receive vaccines (see EUROPE 12010). However, it makes some minor changes, mainly to allow more flexibility for Member States. For...
