Political agreement in Council on reform of supervision of central counterparty in relation to Brexit

The Member States' ambassadors to the European Union (Coreper) reached political agreement in principle on Monday 3 December on the revision of the European rules governing the supervision of Central Counterparty (CCP) in the light of Brexit, scheduled for the end of March 2019. 

There are currently 16 central chambers established in the EU - including three in the United Kingdom - responsible for clearing standardised financial derivatives contracts traded outside trading platforms...
