EU extends mandate of its observation mission in Georgia until mid-December 2020

03/12/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 3 December, the Council extended the mandate of the EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia (EUMM Georgia) until 14 December 2020. It also allocated a budget of €38.2 million for the period from 15 December 2018 to 14 December 2020. This civilian mission, deployed in September 2008 following the six-point agreement reached at the EU's initiative to end the August war between Russia and Georgia, includes more than 200 European civilian observers....
