A panel will examine compliance of Russian embargo on European pork

22/11/2018 (Agence Europe) – A panel of the Dispute Settlement Body (DSB) of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) will examine whether Russia has actually complied with its WTO obligations (see EUROPE 12128) by lifting its ban on European pork. On 21 November, the DSB accepted the European Union's request to establish this compliance panel (DS 475). Russia has not suspended its embargo on imports of live pigs and pig meat from Lithuania, Poland, Latvia and Estonia since January 2014,...
