Port reception facilities for waste disposal, European Parliament/Council negotiations could be concluded by end of 2018

The first meeting of the interinstitutional negotiations ('trilogues') on port reception facilities for the delivery of waste from ships, which took place in Brussels on Tuesday 6 November and brought together representatives of the European Parliament and the Austrian Presidency of the Council of the EU, took place in a calm atmosphere, with negotiators hoping to complete the dossier before the end of the year.
