07/11/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 7 November, the European External Action Service announced a new Serbia/Kosovo dialogue meeting between presidents Aleksandar Vučić and Hashim Thaçi in Brussels on 8 November. "At the meeting, the two leaders are expected to confirm their readiness to intensify the work to reach a legally binding agreement on comprehensive normalisation, which is crucial for their respective European paths" , the EEAS states in a press release. The last meeting, on 7 September, came to a sudden end as Vučić refused to meet Thaçi (see EUROPE 12091). Speaking from Kosovo on Tuesday, Austria's Chancellor Sebastian Kurz said: "Whatever agreement is achieved, even if it is border changes or border correction, that would be supported by the EU". At the end of August, several ministers and High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini said they were against such a modification (see EUROPE 12086). (CG)
