Preliminary Commission investigation into possible abuse of dominant position by Amazon in use of personal data

19/09/2018 (Agence Europe) – On the margins of her decision concerning McDonald's (see other article) on Wednesday 19 September, the European Commissioner for Competition, Margrethe Vestager, announced that the institution had launched a preliminary investigation into the possibility that Amazon has been using the data of consumers received by smaller retailers hosted on the US giant's website.
