Informal meeting of the energy ministers (and 18/09). - Successful integration of renewable energies in the energy system and outstanding issues concerning the ‘Clean energy’ package, such as the single energy market. – Upstream of the meeting, the ministers will attend a conference on the theme “Charge for Change: Innovative Technologies for Energy-Intensive Industries”, showcasing technologies using hydrogen for the energy transfer.

Activities of the committees (to 20/09). – INTA: delegation to Japan for discussions with various stakeholders following the EU/Japan economic partnership agreement concluded in July (18-20/09). – LIBE: delegation to the EASO to examine the office’s priorities, future missions and internal functioning following an OLAF investigation (17-18/09); delegation to Slovakia and Malta to examine the rule of law situation, the fight against corruption and the situation for journalists (to 20/09). – EMPL: delegation to Romania to examine the problem of young people lacking an education, poverty and social exclusion, income disparities and the state of the employment market (to 19/09) – FEMM: delegation to the European Institute for Gender Equality to examine its current initiatives (to 18/09).
