13/09/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 13 September, the Council prolonged the restrictive measures over actions undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine for a further six months, until 15 March 2019. The measures (asset freezes and travel restrictions) currently apply to 155 persons and 44 entities. "An assessment of the situation did not justify a change in the sanctions regime", the Council stated in its press release. The current measures run until 15 September (see EUROPE 11979). The legal acts on this prolongation were adopted by the Council by written procedure and will be published in the EU Official Journal of 14 September. (CG)
