€87.8 million in  EU funding for financial instruments in favour of Romanian farmers

13/09/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 13 September, European Commissioner for Agriculture Phil Hogan signed, in Romania, a European Investment Fund (EIF) financing agreement that will channel over €150 million, including €87.8 million from the EU budget, to Romanian farmers via four Romanian banks.  During a ceremony in Bucharest, attended by Romanian Agriculture Minister Petre Daea and EIF Secretary General Maria Leander, the commissioner said he had made financial instruments and credit for farmers a key priority.  (LC)
