European Ombudsman loses patience given Council's silence

03/09/2018 (Agence Europe) – The European Ombudsman is calling for assistance from the European Parliament to put pressure on the Council of the EU to make the latter more transparent during the legislative process (see EUROPE 11960).  Given that the Council did not reply within the three-month time limit to recommendations made in February, at the end of August she forwarded the findings of her detailed survey to MEPs, which criticises the Council’s attitude aimed at not registering...
