On Wednesday 25 July, the European Commission announced it had approved a new set of support measures worth €400 million for the education of Syrian refugees in Turkey.
The funding, taken from the facility for refugees in Turkey, will be allocated for the continuation of the current education project for Syrian refugees in Turkey, which comes to an end in October 2018, and will be paid in the form of a direct subsidy to the Turkish ministry of national education.
