25/06/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 25 June, the European Commission approved a Slovenian restructuring aid measure in favour of Semenarna Ljubljana, a company active in the research, production and sale of products for gardeners and farmers. This aid will take the form of long-term loans put at €3 million and awarded by the national authorities. This measure, together with the sale of disused facilities and the financial restructuring of the company, will allow it to carry out an in-depth organisational restructuring. Compensatory measures, including the closure of an agricultural stores business, will also reduce the competition distortions that the measure may potentially bring about. The Commission considered that the loan is compatible with EU state aid rules and the 2014 rescue and restructuring guidelines. (LT)
