15/06/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 15 June, the European Commission announced the setting up of a cooperation platform for European artificial intelligence (AI) stakeholders with a view to promoting dialogue in the sector, increase confidence and discuss future relevant regulation. Anyone interested may join. The Commission also announced the creation of a group of 52 experts who will be assigned to prepare ethical guidelines to be published by the Commission at the end of the year, and recommendations that the Commission will formulate mid-2019. These announcements come within the framework of the strategy for promoting AI, presented on 25 April (see EUROPE 12009).
