11/06/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 7 June at the World Anti-Counterfeiting Day, Benoît Battistelli, from France, the outgoing Anti-Counterfeiting Group Awards EPO President, received a special award for his services to intellectual property, which recognises national and international efforts to curb counterfeiting and piracy. The 2018 Prize for “individual achievement” was awarded to him in Paris for his work at the French IP Office (INPI) and the European Patent Office. Mr Battistelli will remain at the head of the EPO until 1 July 2018 when he hands over to António Campinos from Portugal (see EUROPE 11881). (PH)
