Committee of Regions appoints its rapporteurs to cover post-2020 proposals

In Sofia on Thursday 7 June, the members of the Commission for Territorial and Cohesion Policy and EU Budget (COTER) of the Committee of the Regions (CoR) appointed their reporters for the opinions on the sectorial proposals on the forthcoming multiannual financial framework (MFF).

For the 2021-2027 MFF (see EUROPE 12013), the CoR's rapporteur for the opinion will be Nicolas Dobroslavić (EPP, Croatia). The common provisions regulation (see EUROPE 12029) will be covered by Catiuscia Marini (PES, Italy) and Michael Schneider of Germany (EPP), the latter a former rapporteur for an opinion on the forthcoming cohesion policy (see EUROPE 11787).

Michiel Rijsberman (EPP, Netherlands) will be responsible for the report on the next European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) (see EUROPE 12029), Susanna Diaz of Spain (PES) will be the rapporteur on the European Social Fund + (ESF+) (see EUROPE 12030), Marie-Antoinette Maupertuis of France will cover the regulation on European territorial cooperation, Bouke Arends (PES, Netherlands) will prepare an opinion on cross-border co-operation and Isabelle Boudineau (PES, France) will cover the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) (see EUROPE 12035).

The members opted for the fast-track procedure for the opinion on the MFF. The draft opinions are to be adopted at the October plenary session. The other opinions on the sectorial proposals will come under the normal procedure and are expected to be adopted in committee in December and in plenary in February.  (Original version in French by Pascal Hansens)
