Council reaches position on budgeting 2017 surplus

07/06/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 7 June, the Committee of Permanent Representatives of the Member States to the EU (Coreper) approved the position of the Council concerning the budgeting of the surplus of the EU budget in 2017. The Commission made its proposal on 13 April (draft amending budget no. 2 for 2017). The execution of the 2017 budget year showed a surplus of €555.5 million.
