28/05/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 28 May, the European Commission endorsed a Romanian public service compensation measure granted to the autonomous management of Bacau international airport for its on site services. The institution found that the compensation of approximately €57 million over ten years will help develop regional connectivity and development as the area is close to the Moldovan border in an isolated region, without causing any significant distortion of competition in the Single Market. It therefore found that the aid complies with the 2014 guidelines on state aid for airports and airlines and the 2011 state aid rules governing public service compensation. (LT)
