06/04/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 6 April, the European Union reiterated its support for the Multidimensional Integrated Stabilisation Mission in Mali (MINUSMA), which was hit, the day before, by a further terrorist attack that left two Chadian Blue Helmets dead and ten more injured, some of them seriously, in Aguelhok, northern Mali. The European External Action Service spokesperson described it as an “attack on all those who have undertaken to bring peace and stability back to Mali”, reiterating the EU’s “full commitment” to support the “efforts of Mali and the countries of the G5 Sahel in favour of peace, security and the development of the country and the region”. The EU offers its deepest condolences to the families of the victims and to the government and people of Chad and hopes for a speedy recovery for the injured. (AN)
