Consumers association wants Commission to go further in proposals to tighten checks on goods

In a joint press release published on Tuesday 19 December, the European Consumer Organisation (BEUC) and the European Association for the Co-ordination of Consumer Representation in Standardisation (ANEC) have welcomed the Commission’s proposals for making it easier for companies to sells their products across Europe and tightening checks to prevent unsafe goods from being sold (see EUROPE 11929) but they want to go even further.  BEUC wants all consumer...
