18/12/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 14 December, the European Court of Auditors announced the introduction of a new approach for the 2018-20 period for auditing spending carried out as part of cohesion policy. One source close to the European Court of auditors informed EUROPE that this effectively means that in the future, the Court will rely more on the audits carried out by the European Commission, due to an alignment in the latter's auditing methodology with that of the European Court of Auditors.
