European Parliament condemns attacks in Somalia and expresses concern at situation in Madagascar and Sudan

On Thursday 16 November, the European Parliament adopted three urgent resolutions on the terrorist threats in Somalia, the upcoming elections in Madagascar, and the freedom of expression in Sudan.

In a joint resolution from the ECR, S&D, Greens/EFA, ALDE and EPP Groups that they adopted, MEPs condemned the recent attacks in Somalia, which claimed 400 lives in October.  Judging that al-Shabab terrorists interfere with food aid, MEPs urge the EU to take measures to ensure food security.  The...
