'Very strong' demand for European protection of whistleblowers according to Commission consultation results

No fewer than 96% of individuals and 84% of organisations that replied to a European Commission public consultation support the implementation of legally binding minimum standards to protect whistleblowers, according to the results from this consultation seen by EUROPE on Friday 27 October.

Only 2% of individual respondents and 11% of organisations consider that the response should be provided at a member state level.  Around 3% of organisations appear to prefer guidelines that do not...
