On Wednesday 6 September (case C-413/14), the Court of Justice overturned the judgment of the General Court of the EU of June 2014 upholding the record fine of €1.06 billion handed down by the European Commission to the American manufacturer of electronic equipment, Intel Inc. for abuse of dominant position. It has referred the matter back to the General Court to allow the latter to carry out a detailed verification of the Commission’s analysis of Intel’s anti-competitive practices.
