Member states to resume discussions on rule of law on 25 September

06/09/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 6 September, the European Commission officially requested the Estonian Presidency of the Council of the EU to include the subject of Poland and the rule of law on the agenda of the forthcoming 'General Affairs' Council of 25 September.  The matter will officially come under 'any other business' with a stock-take on the situation since May 2017, when the member states looked at the dossier by request of Frans Timmermans.
