Illegal fishing – red card for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Comoros

11/07/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 11 July, the Council of Ministers of the EU adopted without debate decisions to sanction two third countries that are considered to be doing too little to tackle illegal, undeclared and unregulated fishing (IUU). Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Comoros have been shown the red card, which means that commercial sanctions will be taken against these countries (see EUROPE 11794).
