Estonia's priorities are immediate aid for Italy, medium-term reform of asylum system and setting up of European Prosecutor's Office

On Monday 10 and Tuesday 11 July, the respective Estonian ministers for Home Affairs and Justice presented members of the European Parliament's civil liberties committee (LIBE) with their Presidency’s priorities.

Unsurprisingly, for the part on home affairs, Andres Anvelt emphasised the progress that needs to be made in the migration field, such as the short-term assistance to be given to Italy in the context of the Central Mediterranean route or with long-term progress on the asylum...
