Malsmtröm gives assurances that EU-Japan free trade agreement in principle will not be re-opened

Speaking to the European Parliament on Tuesday 11 July, European Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmström and her chief technical-level negotiator for the EU-Japan free trade agreement, Mauro Petriccione, defended the agreement in principle that was sealed last week and confirmed at the EU-Japan summit on 6 July. They expressed their hope of finalising the agreement by the end of 2017 through sealing its chapter on investment on the basis of the proposal for the European Investment Court...
