11/07/2017 (Agence Europe) – MEPs at the European parliament’s transport committee voted in favour of the report by Roberts Zīle (ECR, Latvia) on the union conclusions relating to the multiannual agreement signed on 9 June 2006 (see EUROPE 9186) between the European Community, its member states and European third countries from the Western Balkans and the European Free-Trade Area (EFTA). This agreement was signed at the time by Bulgaria, Croatia and Romania, which were not yet members of the Union. The latter has only had a legal personality since the entry into force of the Lisbon treaties. It will therefore be part of this agreement following the procedure for which the European Parliament will be consulted. (LT)
