Two European Parliament committees support creation of neighbouring law for publishers

The European Parliament culture (CULT) and industry (ITRE) committees are both in favour of creating neighbouring law for press publishers.

The decision was made during a vote on Tuesday 11 July at these two committees on the draft directive on copyright. This will increase the number of parliamentary committees consulted for an opinion which are in favour of this new mechanism, to three.
