European Parliament wants more local autonomy in mobilisation of ESI funds and financial instruments

The European Parliament is calling on the European Commission to introduce greater flexibility in the mobilisation of European Structural and Investment Funds (ESI funds) and financial instruments. It is also calling for the rationalisation of technical assistance within the framework of ESI application.

This is the main message MEPs sent out when they adopted two reports on European cohesion policy on Thursday 18 May.
