The final trialogue on organic farming will take place on 31 May with no certainty that agreement will be reached among the institutions (see EUROPE 11777).
The EU institutions will soon have to come to a decision on the key question of whether to bring an end to the organic farming talks that have been dragging on for two years or continue them under the Estonian Presidency of the Council, from 1 July 2017, and perhaps after further discussion of the matter at the June Agriculture Council.
