EU commits €120 million to support African Union mission to Somalia

The European Union has decided to spend €120 million to support the African Union Mission to Somalia (AMISOM).

This was announced by High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini and European Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development Neven Mimica on Friday 17 March, while they were on an official visit to Addis Ababa, the capital of Somalia and head office of the African Union (AU).
