On Tuesday 21 February, the European Commissioner for the Budget, Günther Oettinger, told the finance and economy ministers of the EU that in his view, the Council has only a few months left to finalise the mid-term revision of the multi-annual financial framework (MFF) for 2014-2020 (see EUROPE 11688).
