Commission protects 'West Wales coracle-caught salmon' indication

21/02/2017 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced on Tuesday 21 February that it had registered the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) West Wales coracle-caught salmon – salmon caught using the ancient Welsh traditional method of coracle fishing. The West Wales coracle-caught salmon is bright silver in colour, with a dark blue back and black spots predominantly located above the lateral line.
