17/02/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 16 February, the spokesperson from the European External Action Service said in a press release that after a series of attacks in Pakistan, the EU was determined to stand by the country "in fighting all forms of terrorism" and would "continue to strengthen [its] cooperation with Pakistan in this regard" (see EUROPE 11638). The spokesperson stated that 73 people had been killed on Thursday 16 February while visiting the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in the province of Sindh, and that a few days earlier, the terrorist attacks had targeted Lahore and Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces, claiming several lives.
