Council approves aid of €1.8 million for workers made redundant in Netherlands

17/02/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 17 February, the Council of Ministers of the EU adopted without debate the decision on mobilising the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund to the tune of €1.8 million in favour of the Netherlands (see EUROPE 11725). The Netherlands made its application after 1,096 workers were made redundant in six companies in the retail trade sector (regions of Drenthe and Overijssel). (LC)
