Member states circumventing ban on bee-killing pesticides, NGOs say

A new analysis by the NGOs ClientEarth, PAN Europe and Bee Life claims that the EU ban on the use of four pesticides – three of which are neonicotinoids, the most harmful to bees – is being circumvented by EU member states, with the Commission failing to monitor implementation of the ban. The Commission said on Friday 17 February that it was able to confirm the information provided by the NGOs.
