Vicky Ford from ECR retains leadership of IMCO committee

25/01/2017 (Agence Europe) – Vicky Ford (ECR, UK) was enthusiastically re-elected as chair of the European Parliament's internal market and consumer protection (IMCO) committee on Wednesday 25 January.  Ford, who is moreover the rapporteur for a particularly sensitive text on restricting firearms (see EUROPE 11683), thanked the MEPs for their trust.  She hoped this vote would be a positive sign for future Brexit negotiations.  The committee's new bureau is dominated by women, with the...
