Set of EIB loans worth €600 million for Ukraine

On the side-lines of the EU-Ukraine Association Council in Brussels on Monday 19 December, the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Ukraine signed a set of loans worth a total of €600 million for higher education, energy efficiency, the railways and SMEs.

This EIB assistance package to strengthen the resilience of the Ukrainian economy forms part of its €3 billion financial aid programme for Ukraine for the period from 2014 to 2016, which, itself, is part of an overall €11 billion...
