The Council of Ministers of the EU decided on Monday 14 November not to raise any objections to the new rules on clam fishing in Italy.
Under the terms of the delegated act brought forward by the European Commission, local fishermen will be able to gather clams which have a minimum size of 2.2 centimetres.
