10/11/2016 (Agence Europe) – The report by Gesine Meissner (ALDE, Germany) on the draft directive on recognition of professional qualifications in the domain of inland waterway navigation was adopted by a comfortable majority at the European Parliament’s transport and tourism committee on Thursday 10 November, by 36 to 4 with 2 abstentions. One of the subjects discussed was the move from experience-based certification to skill-based certification (see EUROPE 11573). (PH)
