On Friday 11 November, EU trade ministers will try to move closer on updating the EU’s trade defence instruments with a view to reaching agreement on the question later this year. The Council will also discuss the post-Nairobi process at the WTO and the free trade talks currently ongoing with the United States, Japan and Mercosur. The signature of the agreement on Ecuador joining the EU-Colombia and Peru free trade deal is also expected.
