Whatsapp asked to refrain from sharing user data with Facebook

28/10/2016 (Agence Europe) – The Article 29 working group of European data protection legislators had warned Whatsapp not to share its users’ personal data with Facebook, which bought it two years ago.  In a letter sent on 27 October, the Article 29 group says the way users give consent for use of their data is not right.  In August, Whatsapp announced that all data is has about users would be shared with Facebook.  Consent for sharing data is simply a default option and only users...
